We had the pleasure of interviewing one of our lovely Brand Ambassadors: Brittney Newton! Our Brand Ambassadors play a big role in representing the face of our brand, and Brittney has stepped up to play a great role in SCO. In order to get to know and share her message; We will be sharing our interview with Brittney below.

Hi Brittney, What made you join the SCO Team? What is your favorite product(s)?

I am the ultimate girly girl! I love everything that has to do with keeping myself up! I’d been looking for some good hair products and SCO came into play at the perfect time! My fav product would be the styling moose for braids because I’m always wearing braids.

Tell our blog a little bit about yourself. Your story, Background, current endeavors, etc.

Hey guys, I’m Brit Brat aka #YourFavPlusSizeModel out of Detroit, MI! I was born and raised in the great city of Detroit. I am a plus size model, brand ambassador, creative director and content creator. I have been modeling for 2 years and it has been an amazing experience! I am a 2 time college graduate so I am definitely an education enthusiast. In 2020, I was diagnosed with clinical depression and since then I have done whatever I could to raise awareness about depression in the African American community. What are some experiences or decisions you made that led to your success?

My modeling career sort of rose from something that was devastating. After losing my father to Covid in 2020, I slipped into a deep depression. To help heal, I started modeling.

What do you want our readers to know about your future goals and plans?

Be on the lookout for more projects from me and a book!

What message would you give our readers about overcoming obstacles or hard times?

To always speak what it is you want into existence! Anything is possible with the power of prayer and hard work.
